Hoag Re-Designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., October 7, 2015 -- Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian announced it has been re-designated as a Center of Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology (COEMIG™) by the American Association of Gynecologic Laproscopists (AAGL) and the Surgical Review Corporation.
In addition to the hospital’s re-designation, five physicians were named COEMIG designees including Lisa Abaid, M.D., John (Jeb) V. Brown, M.D., Matthew Clark, M.D., Catalin Marinescu, M.D., and Albert Mendivil, M.D.
The COEMIG designation recognizes surgeons and facilities that demonstrate an unparalleled commitment and ability to consistently deliver safe, effective, evidence-based care. The program is structured to help minimally invasive gynecologic surgery providers continuously improve care and quality for patient safety.
