Hoag Wound Healing Center Recognized as 2020 Healogics Center of Distinction
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., April 30, 2021 --- Hoag Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center was recently honored by Healogics™ Inc. with the Center of Distinction Award for clinical excellence. This prestigious award recognizes both the Sally & Joseph Warpinski Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center in Newport Beach and the Hoag Wound Healing Center in Irvine for achieving outstanding patient outcomes for more than 12 consecutive months.
With a healing rate of 98% and an average healing time that is six days faster than the national average, Hoag ranks among the top 25% of more than 500 Healogics wound care centers in operation nationwide. As one of only seven centers in the state to receive this distinction, Hoag has patient satisfaction scores higher than 95%.

The Hoag Wound Healing and Hyperbaric Medicine Center provides specialized treatment for chronic or non-healing wounds, which are defined as sores or wounds that have not significantly improved from conventional treatments. With the state-of-the-art treatments available including debridement, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, dressing selection, special shoes, and patient education, the center uses an interdisciplinary model of care, including infectious-disease management, physical therapy, occupational therapy, laboratory evaluation, nutritional management, pain management, diabetic education, radiology testing, and debridement to address total patient health.
