About Dr. Daniel A. Nadeau

Bio

Dr. Nadeau is an accomplished physician who brings extensive experience to Hoag Medical Group. While he has many areas of interest, the majority of his recent work, research, and lectures focus on diabetes, obesity, and nutrition. Dr. Nadeau received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and also earned a master's degree in nutrition from Tufts University School of Nutrition. Dr. Nadeau is the recipient of the National Research Service Award. His publications include both peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and he has recently co-authored a book on nutrition entitled The Color Code: A Revolutionary Eating Plan for Optimum Health in collaboration with James Joseph, PhD, of Tufts University and Anne Underwood of Newsweek magazine. He has several recent publications in Postgraduate Medicine on managing patients with diabetes and is working on an article for Physician and Sportsmedicine on managing diabetes in motivated patients. Prior to joining Hoag Medical Group, Dr. Nadeau served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts Medical School and Medical Director of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Nutrition at Exeter Hospital in New Hampshire and Eastern Maine Medical Center in Maine. Passionate about his work and helping his patients achieve their goals, Dr. Nadeau brings his comprehensive knowledge, patient-centric approach for diabetes and thyroid conditions, and cheery disposition to Hoag Medical Group. Dr. Nadeau traveled around the world with a backpack after college. He runs, bikes, and lift weights to help balance the calories from cooking and eating, which he enjoys even more than exercise.
