MD

Eric Zhuang

About Dr Eric Zhuang

Bio

Dr. Zhuang was inspired to become a physician by the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. Growing up, he witnessed firsthand how compassionate care reshaped his sister’s experience during illness and saw how his grandmother, a physician, transformed lives through her work. These experiences fueled his desire to bring the same compassion and impact to his own patients. Oncology became the natural path for Dr. Zhuang, as it allows him to merge cutting-edge science with deeply personal, patient-centered care. He is driven by the trust patients place in him and the chance to guide them through one of the most challenging times of their lives. His philosophy is rooted in empathy, partnership, and communication. He believes in listening closely to each patient’s concerns and tailoring care to their unique needs. Dr. Eric Zhuang completed his internal medicine residency at UC Irvine and specialty training in hematology and oncology at the Allegheny Health Network in Pittsburgh, PA. His medical degree is from the University of Illinois at Chicago. During his training, Dr. Zhuang supplemented his knowledge with medical research in novel cancer treatments. He has several publications in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Biomedicine and Pharmacotherapy. He is also an active member of the American College of Physicians, American Society of Clinical Oncologists, and the American Society of Hematology, helping ensure he stays on the forefront of modern medicine. Outside of medicine, Dr. Zhuang finds balance and renewal in the outdoors. He enjoys hiking and exploring nature as well as playing tennis, both of which help him recharge and stay grounded. Above all, he is dedicated to walking alongside his patients with compassion, knowledge, and hope.
