As the first and only Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence™ in Orange County, Hoag sets the standard for quality care in breast health. Our breast imaging services are among the most advanced in the nation. Recognized by the American College of Radiology for excellence in breast imaging and named in the top 1% of Mammography Imaging Nationwide, we offer patients the highest level of diagnostic accuracy. We are also one of the few centers to integrate AI technology in mammogram readings, at no additional cost to patients, enhancing accuracy and early detection.

Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery

A pioneer in robotic-assisted surgery, Hoag has performed more than 35,000 procedures using the da Vinci® Surgical System, making us a national leader in minimally invasive techniques. Designated a Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery, we offer highly specialized care for many gynecologic conditions including fibroids, endometriosis, pelvic organ prolapse, and complex hysterectomies. We perform many cases that are often too advanced for other institutions in the region.

Center of Excellence in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery

Hoag's Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Program is the first in the world to be designated as a Center of Excellence by the Surgical Review Corporation (SRC). Hoag has been a pioneer in this field since 2008, when the program was established under the leadership of Melvin J. Silverstein, MD, Gross Family Foundation Endowed Chair in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery. Hoag performs the highest volume of oncoplastic procedures in Southern California and is home to the first stand-alone Oncoplastic Breast Surgery Fellowship in the United States. With oncoplastic surgery, patients are offered options they often wouldn’t receive elsewhere. At Hoag, it’s not just about removing cancer, it’s about treating the whole person.
